Supetar is the biggest settlement, the capital of the island. It is also the administrative, cultural, economic and touristic centre and has a ferryboat connection with Split.
The Supetar area covers nearby places of Mirca, Splitska and Škrip. It is also a great starting point for exploring the island, whether you are up to Vidova gora (St.Vid Mountain), Bol and famous Golden Cape beach or the oldest settlement of the island, the village of Škrip where The Island Museum is .

If you are into active vacation, Supetar offers you three great walking trails, each with its theme to learn about Brač while enjoying spectacular views and great nature. The are also diving possibilities in local agencies.

Things we definitely recommend you to visit if you are into cultural heritage are Supetar Cemetery with Petrinović Mausoleum, Supetar Parish Church, Škrip, Dragon’s Cave in Murvica and Roman Stone Querries.
